Clearwater, FL (October 13, 2019) - At least one person sustained injuries following a wrong-way crash on the Courtney Campbell Causeway. The crash was reported on Saturday, October 12th around 3:22 a.m.
Police say that 19-year-old Conner Josef Hall of Safety Harbor, FL was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Causeway when his car collided with a vehicle head-on. Following the initial impact, two other vehicles were also struck. Officers administered field sobriety tests at the scene and determined that Hall was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and taken to the hospital before being booked into jail on charges of Driving Under the Influence. Rescue workers took one other person to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
No further details regarding the crash have been released.
