Clearwater, FL (March 21, 2021) - One man was killed and another suffered injuries following a head-on crash in Clearwater on Wednesday, March 17th. The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. on Drew Street near Highland Avenue and Crest Avenue.
Officers with the Clearwater Police Department responded to the scene. According to a report, 19-year-old Lacedric Graham, of Tampa, was driving a 2002 Toyota Corolla westbound on Drew Street when he crossed over the centerline and collided with a 2018 Ford F-150 driven by 78-year-old Nicholas Fritz, of Clearwater. Graham died at the accident scene. Fritz was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with serious injuries. He was listed as a trauma alert.
The crash caused the closure of Drew Street for several hours while officers investigated at the scene. There is no further information available at this time.
