Clearwater, FL (April 3, 2021) - Three people were hurt in a car accident that took place in Clearwater on Friday night. The crash took place around 10:15 p.m. on Keene Road near the intersection with Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard.
The Clearwater Police Department and Clearwater Fire and Rescue units responded to the scene. According to officials, at least one of the victims sustained serious injuries. The accident resulted in the closure of the southbound lanes of the roadway while police investigated at the scene and cleared away the debris. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time.
According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were approximately 240,000 individuals injured in Florida car accidents in 2019. While this number may come as a surprise to many, it shows us the true dangers of our roadways. Each year, thousands of innocent crash victims will find themselves suffering from serious injuries and facing a long recovery time due to a crash that was not their fault.
