Clearwater, FL (May 6, 2019) - A major crash involving a stolen vehicle was reported on Monday, May 6th. The crash happened just after midnight at the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and Court Street.
According to initial reports from the Clearwater Police Department, 28-year-old Corey Feldman was driving a stolen motor vehicle eastbound on Court Street when he slammed into the back of a BMW. After the collision, Feldman fled the scene and ran to a nearby hotel. He was later located by police and placed under arrest for his role in the crash. Feldman suffered minor injuries and was taken to Bayfront Hospital.
The two occupants of the BMW, a male driver and a female passenger, were also taken to the hospital. The male was airlifted from the scene with life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition, while the female is also being treated. The extent of her injuries is not known at this time.
Feldman has officially been charged with DUI with serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injuries, careless driving, and driving with a suspended license.
