Coral Gables, FL (September 14, 2021) - Police in Coral Gables responded to the scene of a deadly accident involving a Tesla on Monday night. The accident took place on Alhambra Circle near the intersection with Coral Way.
According to Officer Kelly Denham and the Coral Gables Police Department, a Tesla was traveling on Alhambra when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway and collided with a tree before erupting into flames. Both the driver and a passenger died at the crash scene. The victims were identified as a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman. Their names have not been released.
Police are still investigating. It is unclear whether speed played a role in the crash. No further information has been released.
