Crescent City, FL (January 5, 2019) - A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Union Avenue in Crescent City. The accident took place just after 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 3rd.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the unnamed pedestrian was walking in the roadway when they were struck by a Ford Mustang. The pedestrian was thrown from the road onto a grass shoulder due to the impact of the collision. The driver of the Mustang stopped to call 911. Rescue workers arrived and rushed the pedestrian to Putnam Medical Center but they were later pronounced dead. The Mustang driver was not injured in the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
