Dade City, FL (October 9, 2019) - A 40-year-old man is dead after a two-car crash on US 301 in Dade City. The crash took place on Tuesday, October 8th around 6:26 p.m.
According to reports, Fernando Hernandez-Lara was driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR southbound on 301. Hernandez-Lara lost control of his vehicle and crossed over a median near Primo Drive. The HHR was T-boned by a 2018 Chevy Silverado pick up truck. Fernandez-Lara's vehicle caught fire, trapping him inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no word on whether anyone else was hurt in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
