Dania Beach, FL (August 16, 2021) - The Broward Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash on Monday in Dania Beach. The accident happened in the 2200 block of Griffin Road just before noon.
According to spokesman Carey Codd, a blue car was traveling on Griffin Road when the driver lost control. The vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a pole before catching fire. One person inside the car died at the scene while two others were taken to Broward Health Medical Center with burns and broken bones. Police are still looking into the crash at this time and are unsure whether another vehicle may have been involved.
No additional details have been released.
