Davie, FL (February 28, 2019) - A crash involving a truck and two cars caused three people to be injured, including critical injuries for one person, on Interstate 75 in Davie on Thursday, February 28th.
A 36-year-old woman and two 8-year-old children were all injured when their 2014 Nissan Altima was involved in a collision around 5:15 a.m. Police say that the Altima attempted to change lanes when it sideswiped a BMW, driven by 45-year-old Michael Steven Stanley. The Altima then collided with a tractor-trailer, causing a 60-gallon fuel spill in the southbound lanes of I-75.
The driver of the Altima had to be airlifted to Memorial Regional Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. The children were taken by ambulance to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither Stanley nor the truck driver were injured.
Our hearts go out to the victims of this car accident, and we sincerely hope for their complete recoveries.
