Daytona Beach, FL (October 26, 2019) - A moped driver was killed after a head-on crash with a Mercedes in Daytona Beach. The crash took place on Thursday, October 24th around 6:40 p.m.
Police have identified the victim as 57-year-old Michael Pfeifer. According to reports, Pfeifer was driving eastbound on Mason Avenue when he collided with a 2019 Mercedes AMG E53 that was turning southbound onto Nova Road. The driver of the Mercedes was identified as Amanda Bodiford, 26. Pfeifer was thrown from his moped after the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Bodiford sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
