Officers are still looking for the driver of a vehicle who caused a deadly Tampa road rage incident. The incident led to the death of a passenger in another vehicle.
The accident happened around 11:22 a.m. on Fowler Avenue when a black Dodge Ram truck and a black BMW were stopped in the westbound lane. The driver in the BMW got out of the vehicle and tried to confront 56-year-old Gilbert Serma, who was riding in the truck as a passenger at the time. He then continued to inflict upper body trauma on Serma.
The driver of the truck attempted to follow the BMW as it headed west, but couldn’t continue to follow it. Officers arrived at the scene and performed CPR on Serma until he was taken to the hospital. That is where he died from his injuries.
