DeBary, FL (November 11, 2020) - One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash that took place in DeBary on Tuesday evening. The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m. on Fort Florida Road near the intersection with 15th Street.
According to officials, a pickup truck and a dump truck were traveling in opposite directions when the two vehicles collided head-on with one another. The driver of the pickup truck was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. There is no information at this time on the cause of the accident or which vehicle crossed over the centerline. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident. Motorists were advised to avoid the scene as the road was shut down while deputies were at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
