DeSoto County, FL (April 4, 2021) - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a hit-and-run crash in DeSoto County on Sunday. The incident took place around 11:40 a.m. on County Road 760A near Mosely Terrace.
According to a report, a sedan ran a pickup truck off the road before leaving the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as a 44-year-old man from Fort Myers. Inside the pickup truck were a 15-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old boy. The 15-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy sustained minor injuries while the 12-year-old boy sustained critical injuries and was airlifted from the scene. There is no word on whether the 44-year-old driver was injured.
Troopers are still searching for the sedan at this time. No further information is available.
