East Naples, FL (March 1, 2019) - One person died following a motorcycle accident on State Road 84 at Davis Boulevard on Thursday, February 28th.
Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol report that an SUV was traveling westbound on SR-84 when it attempted to make a left turn. As the SUV was turning, however, it pulled into the path of an oncoming motorcycle, driven by 30-year-old Jared Dodson. The SUV struck the motorcycle and Dodson suffered critical injuries. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead as a result of the traumatic damage. The SUV driver was injured in the collision and taken to a nearby hospital.
Police are still investigating the crash and charges are pending at this time.
