Estero, FL (July 1, 2021) - Police in Estero were called to the scene of a crash involving multiple injuries on Wednesday evening. The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75 near Corkscrew Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 33-year-old woman was driving a van with five passengers, including three children, when she lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway. The van then veered off then overturned before coming to rest. The woman and all five of the passengers were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. All of the victims were from Miami.
There is no additional information available at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
