Fellsmere, FL (December 28, 2018) - One person died in a head-on collision between an SUV and a semi-truck on Friday, December 28th in Fellsmere. The accident took place in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 just before 5:00 am.
According to reports, an SUV was traveling southbound when, for unknown reasons, it crossed over the dividing line of the highway. While in the northbound lanes, the SUV collided with the truck, which was traveling northbound. There were four occupants in the SUV and all four were ejected from the vehicle following impact. One passenger, 20-year-old Shatiba K. Dehall, died in the crash. The three others were injured but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the semi-truck sustained only minor injuries.
Troopers continue to investigate the crash and there is no further information available.
