Flagler County, FL (October 11, 2018) - A woman was hurt after her car flipped following a crash with an ambulance. The crash happened on Old Kings Road in Flagler County on Saturday, October 6th.
Just before 2:00 am, Gabrielle Julia Connors was traveling on Old Kings Road when a vehicle coming from the opposite direction attempted to make a U-Turn in front of her. The vehicle was later identified as an ambulance with the Flagler County Fire-Rescue squad. Connors attempted to avoid the collision but was unsuccessful. Her vehicle rolled over, trapping her underneath. Emergency officials were able to extricate her from the vehicle and she was transferred to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the fire truck Karl Froling was not injured. Froling was cited for making an illegal U-Turn and was suspended indefinitely from driving for the rescue squad.
