Fort Lauderdale, FL (August 8, 2019) - A Fort Lauderdale woman died after she was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street. The crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8th.
Fort Lauderdale Police and Fire Rescue arrived on the scene at Northeast 36th Street around Federal Highway. The woman, who has not been identified, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Several traffic lanes were closed while authorities investigated at the crash scene. Drivers were told to find alternate routes for their travel.
