Fort Lauderdale, FL (November 23, 2019) - The victim of a fatal crash on I-95 has been identified by authorities. The crash originally took place around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, November 22nd.
Police report that 22-year-old Anthony Torres-Loughan, unfortunately, lost his life in the crash. According to reports, and SUV exited I-95 traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle went through the intersection with Davie Boulevard and collided with another vehicle. It is unclear what vehicle Torres-Loughan was in when the crash occurred. An injured driver had to be extricated from the SUV by rescue workers and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The east and westbound lanes of Davie Boulevard were closed for several hours while police investigated at the scene.
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department and DUI Task Force and Traffic Homicide unit are investigating.
