Fort Myers, FL (June 1, 2021) - Police in Fort Myers are investigating a deadly hit-and-run accident on State Road 82 near Gateway Boulevard. The incident took place Tuesday afternoon around 5:00 p.m.
According to the Fort Myers Police Department, a white F-150 truck collided with another vehicle on SR 82. The driver of the other vehicle died as a result of the crash and the truck fled the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not been released and there is no word on what caused the crash.

Although drivers are legally required to remain at the accident scene, many choose to flee in an effort to avoid taking responsibility for a serious crash.
