Fort Myers, FL (June 27, 2018) – A Fort Myers accident took place that led to the loss of life of one party. The Florida Highway Patrol and Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the fatal crash.
According to investigators, the fatal accident took place on Gateway Boulevard and Commerce Lakes Drive on Saturday evening. One person was confirmed dead at the scene of the accident.
Investigators worked to identify the one person who lost their life, which was confirmed as a female. She was identified as 44-year-old Angela Vetter. The Florida Highway Patrol was driving south on the roadway when she suddenly drove over a median and onto the northbound lanes, colliding with a tree.
Vetter was then transported to the Gulf Coast Hospital, where she died due to her injuries.
