Fort Myers, FL (February 28, 2020) - An 86-year-old man from Fort Myers was killed in a crash on Indian Creek Drive on Thursday, February 27th. The crash happened around noon.
According to authorities, Thomas Peter Hoolihan was driving a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe northbound on Indian Creek when he collided with a Jeep Liberty driven by 53-year-old Octavian Mireca Daraban. The Liberty was traveling eastbound at the time of the crash. Police say that the crash occurred when Hoolihan entered the intersection with Bayshore Road. Hoolihan was transported by ambulance to Lee Memorial Hospital where he died of his injuries. Daraban was listed in serious condition at the hospital.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No additional details have been released.
