Gilchrist County, FL (January 3, 2020) - A teenage driver is dead following a crash in Gilchrist County. The crash took place on County Road 337.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 17-year-old was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry southbound on CR 337 when he collided with the rear-end of a tractor driven by 57-year-old Anthony Call Matthews. Police arrived at the scene along with rescue workers and pronounced the teenager dead as a result of injuries suffered in the crash. Matthews did not suffer any injuries from the collision.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. There is no further information available.
