Green Cove Springs, FL (August 31, 2019) - A fiery crash in Green Cove Springs has led to the deaths of two people. The crash took place on Saturday, August 31st around 5:00 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Dodge Stratus traveling on State Road 16 attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Blanding Boulevard. As the Stratus was making its turn, it was struck by a pickup truck. The Stratus erupted in flames after the accident. Both the driver and passenger in the Dodge were killed in the crash. Neither of the victims has been identified at this time. The pickup driver suffered minor injuries. There is no information on what caused the crash the crash to occur.
The accident is still under investigation. No further information is available.
