Haines City, FL (October 31, 2019) - Three people sustained injuries in a crash that took place in Haines City on Wednesday, October 30th. The crash was reported on Old Polk City Road around 5:45 p.m.
According to authorities, 47-year-old Joselito Rivera Carrucini of Haines City was operating a 1995 GMC Safari in the southbound lanes when, for unknown reasons, her vehicle crossed the center line and traveled into the path of a 2008 Suzuki SX4 traveling northbound. The driver of the Suzuki was identified as 31-year-old Johanne Lopez Caballero.
Carrucuni’s van flipped over after the crash. He was taken to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center with serious injuries. Two passengers in his vehicle were also hurt including an 8-year-old girl who suffered critical, life-threatening injuries. Caballero sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The crash is still under investigation and charges are pending at this time.
