Hawthorne, FL (April 28, 2021) - A 39-year-old man died in a pedestrian crash in Hawthorne on Tuesday, April 27th. The collision took place around 11:00 p.m. along County Road 346.
Police say that the pedestrian was in the roadway when they were struck by a Dodge pickup truck. The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The pedestrian, who was not identified was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Police are still looking into the accident at this time and it is not clear whether any charges are expected to be filed.
An investigation is ongoing.
