Hendry County, FL (December 22, 2020) - A 74-year-old pedestrian sustained critical injuries in a crash that took place in Hendry County on Monday, December 21st. The accident took place on State Road 80 near State Road 29.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 31-year-old man from Moore Haven was driving westbound on State Road 80. At the same time, the pedestrian attempted to cross the street in front of the vehicle. The car struck the pedestrian around 7:45 p.m.
Rescue crews responded to the accident scene and treated the pedestrian on the scene. The unidentified victim was later taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition. There is no further update available at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
