Hendry County, FL (May 13, 2021) - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Thursday night in Hendry County. The accident happened around 8:45 p.m. on Flaghole Road near U.S. Highway 27.
According to the FHP, the collision involved a semi-truck and a car. One person died in the crash but it is not clear if the victim was in the car or the semi-truck. There is no information on the cause of the crash or the identity of the victim at this time. Flaghole Road was closed following the accident as drivers were advised to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel.
