Hernando County, FL (August 3, 2019) - A woman from Brooksville died when her mini-bike crashed into a van. The accident happened on Friday, August 2nd, around 2:45 p.m.
Police say that 39-year-old Jayne Elaine Hamlet was riding a 2018 Cole mini-bike. Hamlet was turning out of a residential driveway onto Weeping Wilow Street when she collided with a 2003 Ford E-250 traveling northbound on Weeping Willow. Hamlet was taken to Oak Hill Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. She was not wearing a helmet. The Ford driver has not been identified.
