Hillsborough County, FL (May 13, 2019) - A 22-year-old woman from Tampa was killed after attempting cross I-75 on Sunday, May 12th.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Courtney E. Krysa was standing on the shoulder of the roadway near two parked vehicles around 4:50 a.m. Krysa then attempted to cross the road when she was struck by a Hummer H2 traveling in the southbound lane. Krysa was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue workers.
Troopers are still looking into the crash and say that charges may be pending against the Hummer driver.
