Hillsborough County, FL (September 3, 2019) - A wrong-way driver crashed into another vehicle while traveling State Road 60 on Sunday, September 2nd. The crash occurred around 5:06 a.m. near the I-75 exit.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to troopers, 54-year-old Mukesh Bhutwala of Brandon, FL, was driving a 2016 Honda CRV eastbound in the westbound lanes of SR 60. Bhutwala's CRV collided with a 2012 Infiniti 37 that was stopped at a traffic light. The CRV rolled over following the crash. The driver of the Infiniti was identified as 61-year-old Terrance Reeves of Gibsonton, FL. Both Reeves of Bhutwala sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident.
Troopers say that alcohol did not play a role in the accident. Bhutwala was cited for driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
