Holiday, FL (November 19, 2019) - A 37-year-old man from Holiday was killed in a scooter crash on Holiday Lake Drive.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 6:15 p.m. According to reports, Matthew Thomas Brooks was riding a scooter eastbound on Holiday Lake. As Brooks approached the intersection with Viking Drive, he attempted to make a left turn. While turning, Brooks collided with a Jeep Wrangler driven by 56-year-old Mary Nora Ann Stevens. Brooks suffered catastrophic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Stevens was uninjured.
There is no word on whether any charges are expected and no further details have been released.
