Indian River County, FL (April 14, 2021) - A 29-year-old man from Vero Beach was hurt in a crash involving a motorcycle and a mail truck on Wednesday. The collision took place just before 1:30 p.m. on 66th Avenue.
According to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, the mail truck attempted to make a U-turn on 66th Avenue when it collided with the motorcycle. Both vehicles came to rest in the southbound lane of the roadway following the accident. The motorcyclist was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The mail truck driver was not hurt. Neither driver was immediately identified.
A crash investigation is ongoing at this time and it is not clear whether any charges are expected. No additional details have been released.
