Indian River Shores, FL (September 10, 2019) - A motorist was critically injured after being struck by a sedan while riding a golf cart at John's Island on Tuesday, September 10th.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene on State Road A1A. Troopers say that an unidentified man driving a golf cart was hit by a Lexus. The cause of the crash was not immediately available, however, the golf cart rider was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, where he was listed in critical condition. Neither the golf cart rider nor the driver of the Lexus has been identified. The crash caused State Road A1A to be shut down while debris was removed from the scene.
There is no word on whether any charges are expected and no additional details are available at this time.
