Interstate 75, FL (August 10, 2018) – A North Fort Myers woman died after sustaining critical injuries in a serious three-vehicle crash. The accident happened on Monday in Lee County on Bayshore Road near Interstate 75. a46-year-old Tammy Moss died at the Lee Memorial Hospital as a result
The Highway Patrol is investigating the incident to determine what caused the accident.
According to reports, Moss was traveling on a scooter east along Bayshore in the same lane as a three-wheeled motorcycle driven by 50-year-old Franklin Kent. A dark-colored pickup was traveling east and went to turn left onto Pritchett Parkway entering the inside lane. This caused Moss to lose control and collide with Kent. Both vehicles overturned.
Kent only suffered minor injuries, but Moss was sent to the hospital in critical condition and recently passed away due to her injuries.
As of 2017, there were over 400,000 car accidents across the entire state of Florida in that year alone. Thousands of people are injured every year, while somebody loses their life in a Florida accident every 3 hours.
