Jacksonville, FL (April 27, 2021) - A 78-year-old man was injured following a collision with a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office deputy on Tuesday morning. The collision took place on Town Center Parkway near St. Johns Bluff Road.
According to officials, a 78-year-old man was traveling westbound on Town Center. At the same time, a police officer came to an intersection and failed to stop at a red light. The officer's vehicle collided with the man's SUV. The man was taken to a local hospital with back and neck injuries. The officer was not injured in the accident. Investigators are still looking into the accident at this time. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
