Jacksonville, FL (November 3, 2019) - Investigators responded to the scene of a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist dead in Jacksonville on Saturday, November 2nd. The crash happened around 1:45 a.m. on Duval Road.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a bicyclist was riding in the area when they were struck by a car. The car fled the scene after the collision and before the police could arrive. Officers say that no one witnessed the collision. The victim was pronounced dead when rescue workers arrived at the scene. His name has not been released at this time. There is no description of the suspect's vehicle.
