Jacksonville, FL (October 27, 2019) - A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Jacksonville on Saturday, October 26th. The crash took place on Third Street.
According to reports, a blue Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on Third Street when it was struck by a blue Subaru Outback. The Hyundai then spun onto a sidewalk and struck the bicyclist, pinning her against a light post. Rescue workers rushed to the scene and transported the unidentified bicyclist to a local hospital. She was unable to walk following the crash but did not lose consciousness. There is no word on whether anyone else was hurt in the accident.
No further details have been released at this time.
