Jacksonville, FL (August 4, 2019) - Police responded to a crash on the Matthews Bridge in Jacksonville on Saturday, August 3rd. The crash was reported around 5:00 p.m.
According to reports, at least one person sustained injuries in the crash. However, the extent of the injuries is not known at this time and police did not release any details on the identity of the injured victim. No information is available on what caused the crash or the number of vehicles involved. The crash caused backups near the bridge in the westbound lanes. Drivers were urged to find an alternate route of travel.
