Jacksonville, FL (March 13, 2021) - One person was killed and two others were seriously hurt after a wrong-way crash in Jacksonville on Saturday morning. The collision took place just after 3:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-295.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to a report, a silver Hyundai was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of I-295 when the Hyundai collided head-on with a BMW sedan. The BMW struck a guardrail and a semi-truck before coming to rest. The 23-year-old male BMW driver died in the accident. The 22-year-old female BMW driver suffered serious injuries. A 48-year-old woman who was driving the semi-truck was also seriously hurt. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time.
