Jacksonville, FL (July 9, 2019) - A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a pickup truck on Lake Shore Boulevard in Jacksonville. The crash happened around noon on Monday, July 8th.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the scene after receiving a report of the collision. Rescue workers also arrived to assist and transported the injured motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The truck driver was not hurt in the crash. Police have not said at this time how the crash took place. Neither the driver of the truck nor the motorcycle has been identified. The crash caused the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard to be temporarily shut down as officers worked on the scene.
Traffic homicide detectives with the JSO are investigating the collision and no further information is available at this time.
