Jacksonville, FL (July 1, 2019) - A crash involving a train and Jacksonville Transit Authority Bus was reported on Monday, July 1st. The incident took place near the intersections of Roosevelt Boulevard and McDuff Avenue.
The crash took place early this morning. Police were on the scene shortly after the incident occurred to investigate. Video from the scene shows an Amtrak train and the bus next to each other at the railroad crossing, though it is unclear exactly how the crash took place. Officials have reported that one person sustained injuries in the crash. The nature and extent of the injuries are unclear at this time. Authorities have not said whether the injured victim was aboard the bus or the train.
