Jacksonville, FL (March 7, 2019) - A fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer and a van was reported on Thursday, March 7th. The crash happened at Heckscher Drive and New Berlin Road around 1:45 p.m.
Deputies with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office report that at least one person died in the collision. At this time, no details have been released on how the accident took place. Officials have not identified the crash victim or said whether anyone else was hurt. The crash caused traffic to back up significantly around the scene, causing motorists to seek alternate routes.
No further information was immediately released.
