Jacksonville, FL (March 10, 2019) - A hit-and-run on Sunday, March 10th, has left a pedestrian fighting for his life. The crash took place around 1:55 a.m. on Union Street, near the intersection with Liberty Street.
Police say that the pedestrian was walking along Union Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene after impact and before police could arrive. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, along with Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, responded to the scene. The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police have not identified the injured victim at this time and there is no word on the type of vehicle that may have been involved in the collision.
