Jacksonville, FL (August 6, 2019) - A pedestrian died in a crash along Airport Road on Tuesday, August 6th.
The Florida Highway Patrol came to the scene at the intersection with Duval Road. Troopers say that a 60-year-old man was crossing Airport Road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound. The vehicle attempted to avoid the pedestrian but was unsuccessful in doing so. The man was in a travel lane when he was struck. The pedestrian, who has not been identified, died at the crash scene.
Troopers are still investigating and there is no word at this time on any charges.
