Jacksonville, FL (February 6, 2021) - A pedestrian was killed in a fatal crash that took place on U.S. 17 in Jacksonville on Friday night. The crash happened on U.S. Highway 17 near Baisden Road.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department along with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the accident scene. According to a report from authorities, the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. There is no word on the events leading up to the collision at this time. The pedestrian, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Police have not said whether any charges are expected as a result of the accident.
