Jacksonville, FL (April 30, 2021) - Police in Jacksonville responded to a deadly accident on Friday morning. The accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Emerson Street around 2:00 a.m.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a car was traveling southbound on I-95 when the driver crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound vehicle. Both of the drivers were killed in the crash. One of the victims was identified as a 26-year-old man. The other victim was not immediately identified. There is no information on the cause of the collision at this time.
A police investigation remains ongoing. No further details have been released.
