Jacksonville, FL (May 23, 2021) - A man and a woman were killed in a crash that took place in Jacksonville on Saturday morning. The collision was reported at 3:30 a.m. on Zoo Parkway.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a Honda sedan was traveling on Zoo Parkway at a high rate of speed when the car jumped the curb and struck a concrete utility pole. Both the male driver as well as a female passenger died at the crash scene. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. Deputies do not believe that alcohol was involved in the collision.
