Jacksonville, FL (September 28, 2019) - Two pedestrians were hurt in a crash at a Jacksonville bus stop on Saturday, September 28th. The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. at a JTA bus stop near city hall.
According to reports, a Chevrolet and a white truck collided with one another at 1st Avenue North and 3rd Street North. Following the crash, the Chevrolet continued driving down the road, left the roadway, and struck two pedestrians waiting at the bus stop. Three occupants of the Chevrolet then fled the scene but were later apprehended by police. The two pedestrians were seriously hurt and taken to a local hospital by rescue workers. The crash caused the roadway to be closed until around 7:00 a.m. while police remained at the scene.
