Jacksonville, FL (July 11, 2021) - A Jacksonville woman was killed while crossing I-95 early Sunday morning. The incident took place around 2:30 a.m. near the exit for 8th Street.
According to police, the unidentified 32-year-old woman was crossing the northbound lanes of I-95 when she was hit by a truck driven by a 48-year-old man. The woman was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt in the accident. There are no additional details on the cause of the collision at this time and it is not clear if any charges are expected to be filed.
A crash investigation remains ongoing.
